Key business leaders and politician in Panama, including Stanley Motta, the president of Copa Airlines, Jorge Quijano, Executive Director of the Panama Canal, will be among the participants of the World Economic Forum for Latin America, which Panama will host April 1 to 3.
Forum will include issues regarding the economy trends in the region as well as environmental improvements, modernization and infrastructure problems. What concerns Panama the key issues to be discussed are the expansion of Panama Canal, which recently has been going through some difficult times.
Moreover, the event will address topics of expansion of development of regional industry, travel and tourism, energy and global logistics. Participants hope to create additional value chain of products and services ranging from strategic infrastructure such as ports and terminals.
It will also discuss the various options to reduce poverty, increase innovation in the social sector, productivity and new trends in technology. It is expected that forum will visit at least 500 participants.
