Panama signed a new deal with Lufthansa

Panama tourism is about to receive a shout-out in Europe. The Tourism Authority has just signed an agreement with German airline Lufthansa to spend $4 million promoting Panama to its passengers in Europe.

The agreement is settled for next three years and majorly focuses Lufthansa’s frequent fliers, reports La Prensa. Panama will be advertised through the program called “Lufthansa Holidays”, which includes alliances with multiple hotels, cruise lines etc.

Lufthansa flies to Panama 5 times per week all year around and started that earlier in March of this year. Already more than 27,000 have used the route, the company informed.

We consider that increased connectivity with Europe will have a certain level of influence on the real estate market. High connectivity has always been considered one of the major factor to foreign investments in the property market.

It is expected that the agreement will affect the awareness of the European tourists and increase Panama’s profile of all the city’s and country’s advantages.

According to Lufthansa, "Panama experiences fast economic growth during the last few years. In addition to its world-famous Canal, there is a substantial banking sector, unique geographic location and well-developed infrastructure which all together are the key factors for business and tourism to flourish".

Lufthansa has several code-sharing agreements with Copa airlines which makes it very easy to explore nearby countries in South America and Caribbean.
