Panama insurance sales booming

There are $97 millions in sales of insurance registered in Panama over the period of first five months of 2013. This is a 18% increase over the same period last year.

The sales of insurance grew in all sectors including health, car, and group life policies.

The growth is based on the trust acquired by the companies in responses to claims by the clients. The claims are being paid faster each year and the insurance services have significantly improved.

Panamaamerica.com.pa reports: "This performance is not new to industry experts because at the end of 2012 they stated that this year they were expecting an increase in both insurance sales as well as in the payment of claims because of the country's booming economy, which is driving the insurance business."

The statistics from government official sources state that the payment of claims have increased by almost 40%, which reflected in money is equal to a $12.4 million increase comparing with 2012.
