There are few interesting ways to take a tour around Panama city and get to know it. If you have little time in Panama, we offer you to use one of the following alternatives:
- Double deck bus City Sightseeing Panama, also known as hop on-hop off bus. Here you will observe the surroundings from a 4 meter deck and the once you feel like taking off, you may just do it on the way. There is no need to take a complete tour. Every passenger is given a brochure with a map, stops and its description. Also there is a headset with touring information available in six languages: Spanish, English, Italian, German, Portuguese and French. The headset is synchronized with GPS position so you won’t miss anything. The disadvantage of such tour is the weather, which can be very unstable in Panama. The complete tour is about 2 hours long.
- Second option is a small van called Transvia. From the outside it resembles a small tram. Such buses are not as spacious as the first option that is why the pick-up locations are usually at major hotels. The tour lasts close to four hours and includes all major locations of the city.
- Finally, there is AquaBus. If you have seen the city from land, maybe it is time you take a look at it from the water. The bus leaves from Albrook mall and then enters the waters of the Panama Canal in Amador islands. From there tourists enjoy great view on Amador islands, the Canal, the city and its historic part Casco Viejo.
