Panama City – the Best City to Live in Central America

Hot Panama City’s climate, skyscrapers and first in Central America subway which crosses the capital city from side to side, this is the city with the best life standards in the Isthmus, according to Mercer research.

The research “Quality of Life International 2015” which was presented earlier this month by Mercer put Panama City #95 in the World City Ranking, which contains total of 230 cities. The survey includes multiple crucial factors, such as: education, quality of housing, economy, health infrastructure, public transport, traffic etc. So, Panama City ranks number 1 in Central America, following it San Jose, Costa Rica (#106 in the world ranking), Guatemala City (#150), Managua, the capital of Nicaragua (#173), and finally Tegucigalpa, Honduras (#184).

However, Panama City isn’t the best place in South American continent. Among better cities, of course, just according o Mercer, are Montevideo, the Uruguayan capital (#78 worldwide), Buenos Aires, Argentina (#91), Santiago, Chile (#93).
