According to Gallup research Panama the second year took the 1st place in annual well-being ranking.
Meanwhile, the United States ranked 23rd , which shows a decrease to the from the 12th position last year.
The second year straight Panama takes the first position, all due to the fact that most residents are thriving in three or more areas of the research. Such areas where Panamanians feel the happiest are person sense of purpose, financial well-being and health.
According to Gallup, “People in Panama show a lot of happiness, smile and generally are happy with the way of their life day by day. They maintain low level of stress and worry less.”
Afghanistan ranked the lowest in the well-being rating with almost no residents being happy in most areas.
The index of well-being is based on the interviews of more than 146,000 people in 145 countries around the world in 2014.
Generally the happiest nations are among Latin American region as 7 countries occupy different positions in the top 10, while people in Africa, mostly in Sub-Saharan region are the least happy. In Europe people are mostly satisfied with their financial well-being.
