Copa airlines, the biggest national company in the industry, last week inaugurated the flight between Panama City and capital city of Chiriqui province, David, which lies to the west of the country close to the border with Costa Rica.
The operating frequency will be 14 times per week with aircraft capable of carrying 110 passengers at a time.
The new destination is essential for the development of transport and tourism of the country. The tourists will receive easier access to well-known Boquete and Bocas del Toro. According to the Jesus Siera, Minister of Tourism, local hotels, restaurant and other business will greatly benefit from that.
