The 11th “immigrant fair” is coming on in Panama this time during the final weekend of May. It is expected that this time more than 10,000 foreigners who currently live illegally in Panama will obtain their legal status and working permit. The only condition to receive such status is living in Panama with no legal pares during the period over one year.
Panamanian Government hopes to regulate and control those people who came to the country with good intentions, but for various reasons couldn’t receive papers or fit into the system. Plus each fair enlarges the number of tax payers in the country. Until now there were more than 30,000 people who received their documents at the fairs.
The price for application lie at $700 - $2,000. The working permit can be issued immediately for additional $500. The pre-registration can be made at migracion.com.pa
