The major German airline Lufthansa announced that starting March the 2nd it will commence direct flights between Frankfurt and Panama City. It will be using Airbus A340-300 with the initial frequency of 5 flights per week.
Lufthansa officially reported: “With this new destination from Panama City, passengers from South and Central America will have excellent access to one of the largest airline network in the world”.
Flight LH 485 will leave Panama City every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday in the evening and arrive to Frankfurt next morning. Accordingly, the returning flight LH 484 will take off from Frankfurt at 10-15 a.m. and arrive to Panama City at 4-40 p.m. local time. The flight duration is approximately 12 hours and 25 minutes.
The Airbus A340 is a long-range, four-engine, wide-body aircraft capable of carrying up to 295 passengers.
