Traveling abroad is not an easy task. Before you even begin packing your bags and buying tickets, you might need to do a little research on immigration rules of the destination and verify if you would need a visa. Such rules often depend on how friendly is the relationship between nations. So what about passport of Panama?
To answer this question, Arton Capital, a company which mainly specializes in financial consulting, prepared the Passport Index. A unique list with the "power" of each passport. More “power” simply allows you higher traveling freedom and less bureaucracy entering each country.
The research took into an account number of visa-free countries and the facilities (representative institutions) for each passport. Naturally, the top of the ranking were with the US and British passports, which have free access to 147 countries.
Whereas Panama shares 27th position with Costa Rica, being well in front of such countries like China, Paraguay, Peru, Ecuador, Russia and many other. In the end, the results show that Panamanian passport allows free entrance to 110 countries, including EU members and the UK. Not bad!
