Huawei opens new distribution center in Panama

The Chinese technological giant Huawei has just opened a distribution center in Panama for all its Latin American operations. According XinHua news, currently the multinational employs around 500 specialists in Panama. The new 10,000 square meter distribution center will create 200 new job openings inside and hundreds more indirect.

“The new structure will create enough space to fit in 15 different production lines for Huawei which are all designed for Latina American markets”, comments minister of commerce and industry Meliton Arrocha. The Colon distribution center will become a logistic and cooperation hub between China and Latin America. From here the products will reach 35 countries.

For those who are unfamiliar with Huawei Technologies, this is an industry leader in the field of telecommunications infrastructure, everything that stands behind mobile telecommunication nowadays. Last year the multinational company sold goods in the amount of almost $36 billion, and that is more than McDonalds. About 30% of the world telecommunication equipment is produced by Huawei Technologies.
