ACP (Administration of Panama Canal) has showed a new video on the work progress of the expansion project. According to them, the project has been 94% completed and the third set of locks is 93% completed.
Before we already delivered the news, that the Pacific side of the Expansion is being flooded. Besides, 33 new range towers were being constructed to ensure safe navigation around the Canal.
It is expected that after the project is inaugurated, the traffic throught the Canal will significantly grow during the next several years and will nearly double.
