2.3 million Tourists will Visit Panama in 2014

Panama's tourism industry continues to be one of the main sources of economic development.

This year it is expected to grow on the Caribbean side, as previously it was significantly underestimated, but now with a construction of new roads it should all change.

By the end of 2014 there are 2,500 to 3,000 hotel units to appear in the area.

Ministry of Tourism of Panama plans that flow of tourists will increase and surpass the mark of 2.3 million by the end of the year, which mean an increase by 12%.

Decameron hotel will open its doors in Santo Cristobal. Same year, construction will begin on the second international network hotel in the area. One more hotel under Decameron brand is also planned for opening right next to Isla Grande. The region has long been underdeveloped for lack of necessary infrastructure and security, but it seems that now it is all going to change.
