Russia will increase the economic cooperation with Panama in several spheres, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on Thursday.
"I'm sure we will need to continue our work intensifying relations with the Republic of Panama. Together we should be working on improving the legal framework. We are absolutely opened for further cooperation in the economic and financial areas between us," Putin said during the ceremony of receiving letters of credence from 15 new ambassadors to the country, including the one from the Republic of Panama.
Moscow will continue assisting Panama city in training local staff, including law enforcement officers, the president added.
