Last week the long anticipated first run of the metro was done by the administration of Metro of Panama. Among the first passengers there was the president of Panama Ricardo Martinelli in the company of high-ranked politicians. All the participants were really impressed by such a spectacular project. It is expected that the following February the project will open its doors to the public.
The run started at the station of “Cinco de Mayo” in the heart of Panama city and in 23 minutes the train passed all constructed stations with arrival to the station of Los Andes. First passengers applauded upon arrival to the final station. “I am very happy as if my son was just been born”, commented President Martinelli.
