State Department of Innovation of Panama (AIG) launched a project, which will allow online panoramic view of the streets of Panama. This platform is also known as Street View being developed by Google in many countries around the world. However, until now Panama was left out of it.
After footage and editing, most of sightseeing spots of Panama city will be available for viewing online. Interested people will now be able to take a tour through Casco Viejo or Avenida Balboa and see everything just like if they were there.
Later the project is planned to be expand to other provinces and towns of the Republic. Eduardo Jaen, the administrator of AIG, confirmed that in the near future all major city of Panama will be uploaded to the system.
The special camera is being used for taking footage. It will be mounted on the roof of the car with hybrid engine. Very soon the first results of this work will be available at www.innovacion.gob.pa
