Banks Have Increased Credit Volumes

From January to November of 2013 Panamanian banks have issued 14% more loans than in the same period 0f 2012. 

According to the statistical data from General Banking Supervisor, during the first 11 months of 2013, banks in Panama issued loans with total value of more than $ 24 billion.

Trade and business are the major clients, such entities were financed by $ 13.8 billion, personal consumption added $2.37 billion, $2.33 billion account to construction business and finally $2.1 are mortgages. Private lending grew by 9.8 %, amounting to more than $ 11 billion.
